Hello again! Welcome back to Club Sportico, where we discuss the intersection of sports and money. Today we’re preparing for tonight’s CFP title game.
Notre Dame ☘️ faces Ohio State 🌰 tonight in college football’s national title game 🏈 (7:30 PM ET, ESPN). After a season full of chaos and rare parity, it seems Karmically unfair that we have two of the country’s richest athletic departments vying for college sports’ biggest prize. But alas, here we are.
In honor of the inaugural 12-team playoff, here’s a 12-question quiz about the Buckeyes, Fighting Irish, and the CFP. Though most Club Sportico quizzes are for paid members only, we’re making this one free for all. We’ll share the results Thursday. Good luck!

Lastly, an update on our CFP bracket challenge 💯: We started with 42 entries and are now down to two! If Ohio State wins, Brian Cronin will have completed the perfect bracket. Congrats, Brian! If Notre Dame wins, the group title will go to Sean Mahonwy, whose only error was picking Texas to beat Ohio State. Eben is in second (!), but can’t win (😡).
Later this week we’ll give the winner a $50 gift card 💰 to the sports apparel shop of his/her choosing.
