Still need a costume idea?
Halloween is here, and we've got 10 sports-business related suggestions
Welcome back to Club Sportico, where we break down the intersection of sports and money—with an extra bit of humor and opinion. Today, we’re talking costumes.
The NBA messed up. No, we’re not talking about that scandal. Or that one.
Today what we’re mad about is the fact that Victor Wembanyama is off tonight. Wemby has gone all out with his tunnel outfits for Halloweens past, but the Spurs don’t play until Sunday, so we won’t be treated to a new costume this year, he said earlier this week. (Wemby will surely still haunt opponents’ dreams regardless).
In honor of Wembanyama’s commitment to the bit, we put our heads together and came up with some lighthearted, sports business-themed costumes you can probably throw together in time for sundown tonight. (And if you’re looking for coverage of the day’s serious news, head to sportico.com)

The lawyer desperate to attend a Knicks game despite MSG’s “attorney exclusion list”
Anything but 6-7, please, for the love of god.
Pull one of these off? Or going as another sportsbiz joke this weekend? Send us a pic here or on social!
On the most recent Sporticast episode, Scott and Eben discussed the business of the Toronto Blue Jays, now one win away from a World Series title. The Blue Jays are owned by Rogers Communications, a public Canadian wireless/internet/sports conglomerate. Eben was convinced he’d written a story about this in the past. He was right, but also wrong 👇
